How this site makes money

In plain English, because you deserve that:

Some links on AI Tool Drop are affiliate links. If you click one and buy the tool, the company pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, the price is the same either way.

This is disclosed in accordance with the FTC's guidelines on endorsements (16 CFR Part 255). Assume any link to a paid tool on this site may be an affiliate link.

What that does and doesn't change

It doesn't change our verdicts. Most tools in our directory pay us nothing at all. Claude, the tool at the center of most workflows we publish, has no cash affiliate program; where we link it, we use a referral invite link that may earn us account credits, not money. Several tools with generous affiliate programs are absent from this site because they didn't survive testing.

It does change what we can afford to do: affiliate commissions pay for the paid plans we test on, and they keep the site and newsletter free.
